Hey gals, I have been curious about the setting for Mr. Pip, and did a bit of research. I found out it is set in a real place, with a real conflict as it's backdrop. I have a few links here for anyone else who is as interested in the geography and visuals of a story. The first is Wickipedia, so, ensure you have your bit of salt, if you feel you need it. The second is about the conflict on the island, and the others are maps to place the island of Bougainville for you.
