Found the Book!

Hi everyone...just saw a huge ad in the Globe and Mail for 'Slap', by, Cristos Tsoilkas, the book that Sandy recommended at the last meeting. It is available at chapters online for only $16. We could order a whole bunch and get free shipping if anyone's interested.

    thanks! i have to place an order anyway. what month is 'slap'? and i heard that 'fraction of the whole' is back on. and another book 'three day road' is for sep? maybe? wish i had made the last mtg... sounds like lots of great reads for the summer!

    three day road is for september, not sure that a month was picked for Slap,probably the spring as i think it is a big book. Sandy said she would host it so she needs to decide on the month. we should see how many people want to order a copy and then do so. fraction of the whole is not necessarily back on.confusing, i know!

    I also think that "Run" by Anne Patchett (sp?) was chosen and I said that I would host in October. I just saw a copy of it in the 2nd hand bookstore on Comox Ave. I concur, Fraction was not re-engaged as a pick! Some titles were also bandied about as good summer reads, but not necessarily B.C. picks. Did Sue find her notes?
